To qualify as a YES Host Company, you need to:

1. Be a South African-registered entity (Private, Public, NPO, or NGO)
2. Be B-BBEE compliant (Generic or QSE companies must meet B-BBEE thresholds)
3. Commit to creating paid 12-month work opportunities for unemployed youth (minimum of R4,500/month per youth)
4. Offer meaningful work experience with clear learning outcomes
5. Ensure a safe, supportive, and skills-oriented work environment
6. Report progress and complete YES monitoring tools quarterly

A YES representative will assess your eligibility and discuss onboarding steps. This includes your B-BBEE status and operational capacity.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟰: 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲

• Create job descriptions for the YES youth roles

• Assign mentors or supervisors

• Ensure workplace readiness and compliance

• Determine whether you’ll host youth internally or via a YES Implementation Partner

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟱: 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱
Once approved, sign the participation contract, pay the youth salaries (or partner with an IP who will), and begin the 12-month placements.
